Note that by requiring a junction, you make it impossible to model stop signs don't involve a junction.

I don't know how frequent these occur, but I can imagine cases where there is a sharp curve before which you're required to stop. And I believe there are roads near airports with low-flying plains crossing the road, thought these are usually regulated by traffic lights.
