I faced the same problem in South India - what I do is map those parts I have 
travelled on - the rest is left as a straight line without nodes for someone 
else to pass by and correct it. Over a period of a couple of years, the AND 
data is becoming more accurate. 

I am another one of those Indians mentioned above ;-)
