I have discovered on-line, but not yet read, what appears to be a very
comprehensive textbook:
http://www.spatialanalysisonline.com/
I'm just a hobbyist and my GIS use includes little or none of the
true analysis and synthesis that GIS can perform; I'm basically
using it as a powerful map creation toolset. But as I search
the web for data to use and explore, and read the support forums
for the software package(s) I use, I'm exposed to the tips of
the many icebergs that comprise the spectrum of GIS use.
