My suggestion is for some coordinated session between SOTM/Wikimania .. perhaps a live stream of a presentation on the OSM maps in Wikipedia from Wikimania to SOTM?

Hello Kate,

We've discussed the issue of the dates you've mentioned, but we have decided to stick with the date mentioned.

Reasons:
- It's the same weekend as this year (and last year)
- The week before the weekend, the Girona University already had a series of summer-OS GIS-workshops planned. To give attendees the possibility to also go to these workshops, was a strong reason to stick with the dates.

I can understand you would have to choose for Wikimania. Maybe next year we should compare dates with both conferences before we both decide on dates.
