[OSM-talk] diff between planet daily and history files

Hello,

I discovered that the files in http://planet.openstreetmap.org/daily/ and
http://planet.openstreetmap.org/history/ are slightly different, for the
same day. For example:

a) http://planet.openstreetmap.org/daily/

663M (after uncompress) 20091215-20091216.osc

b) http://planet.openstreetmap.org/history/

685M 1215-1216.osc

 

Head and tail of the files is same, diff shows something from the middle, so
why are these different?
