That assumes that they're correct in the first place and not going to
change. In a few spots (the Texas-Mexico border, for instance,) we
have three different sets of borders from three different imports for
three different administrative levels, none of which line up very will
with each other or with the river they're nominally running down the
middle of (as far as I know here, the de facto border here is the Rio
Grande/Rio Bravo's channel, not where it was running when it was
first/last surveyed.)
