I think I've sent another reply explaining that there is a button
beneath the static map to request the rerender.

In either case, yes, whichever you use will add the tile to the
request queue using a higher priority and without the wait for the
scheduled job which adds changed tiles to the request queue at
standard priority. This usually means the rendering will start
straight away and should be uploaded depending on complexity either
in a minute or so, or perhaps an hour or more for very very complex
tiles (such as the sort which some clients find they have
insufficient memory to process so put back in the request queue for
someone else to try).

I've just noticed that since I last looked at the 3x3 grid of tiles
on the static map that the grid itself doesn't seem to show. This
may be because I've installed the IE8 release candidate - ah yes, if
I view it in compatibility mode the grid is back.
