Because if I take the time to map out my local community not only do I get
the opportunity to have it correctly mapped, I also have the benefit of
getting 'out & about' in the fresh air. Plus it's kind of (in a nerdy way)
fun.

There is also the chance that a like minded person will have mapped out
the communities I visit on my travels. One big 'bitch' about GPS
maps/routing is that the maps are out of date. Using OSM 'we' can fix what
'we' find is wrong....
