[OSM-talk] open street map - what's in it for you?

For the Durham Mapping Party last year I was based in a uni common room that
was really just a corridoor to the dining room. One of the dinner ladies
asked me what it was I was doing then, I explained, her response was "well
it keeps you out of trouble at least" clearly not understanding the project
at all!

+ I do it for fresh air, to explore an area, to help the better cause.
+ In certain areas I get to say "that's MY map (well helped with a few
people)", where I see OSM (of other areas) in use I can say "I helped make
that map (well you can't see any of my work, but it's all part of the planet
map right)"
+ One day I will have plenty of time to play with all the data and make
silly things.
