Which operating system do you use? On windows I strongly advice to use 
geosetter (www.geosetter.de) to get Geo-Information into the pictures. 
This works extremeley well in combination with the AgPifoJ plugin in 
JOSM, I absolutely recommend this plugin for photo mapping!
