If your blackberry has bluetooth, you could use a bluetooth GPS  
instead of the built in GPS.

You can automatically start logging as NMEA or GPX, and it can start a  
new file for each day.

I use this app on my Sony Ericsson W995 (and previously on a K850i and  
K750i) for all my mapping, and navigation needs since my GT-11 died.  
It also uses the CloudMade routing. The developer, Stephen Dartnall,  
is a OSMer who comes to many of the London OSM events, and does map  
for OSM too.
