Well, to do so would fall under the selfish category. Users need to 
ensure they're considering as many eventual uses as possible.
If, as you mentioned, they convert the real world, then they're on the 
right lines.

The user who put that GPS tag should have realised that -
1. It doesn't mean anything &
2. Is inconsiderate to others, such as renderers
