[OSM-talk] Tag conflict? e.g. man_made=tower and man_made=surveillance

I'm not sure what to do now, but I would like to suggest a scripted change of _all the tags_ man_made=surveillance to surveillance=indoor

The first one is an approved proposal http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Surveillance and it only shows if a surveillance is present at the specific location.
so a simple swap of these two tags wouldn't mean that information get lost.

But it has some advantages as well!
first of all you don't need an extra node on the same location again, if you for example have a camera mounted on a tower.
and secondary the surveillance=* is more precise. you can specify if a surveillance is done indoor or outdoor and even some specific types.
