[OSM-talk] Mapping/Naming mountain ranges, valleys, other geographic areas

Hi All,
I'm a little unclear on how map geographic area features, such as mountain
ranges, and valleys. Often these have names (and some have more metadata),
but are not a clearly defined simple polygon. Do we map these at all?
