[OSM-talk] Routing - Optimally Sorting Vias

Hi,
I was talking to a delivery driver for a local firm, and they would be
interested to know if there is a OSM based solution for planing
deliveries.

At present they use the cranial method, which can be less than optimal...

They would like to be able to plan deliveries for the next few days,
heading to different areas of the city and dropping in a sensible order.
I'm guessing that it would be nice to factor delivery times (ie. how much
stuff to unload) and place an urgency factor on older orders.

To start with this would be office based to print out a sequenced list of
drops for the day, but might progress to having GPS guidance in the van.

The question arose as their new order system has a 'map button' for each
customer address (which uses Google API to do a geocode lookup) and
displays a Google map.

Anyone got any suggestions?
Simon
