Since I use some "wobbly" scanned maps I think of this as a better
tool: http://warper.geothings.net/ (or alpha-state site
http://staging.mapwarper.net/ for unlimited map-size)
Plus, other people can also work with the map and help rectifying it.

For the rectified map a WMS-url is generated with which one can use it
conveniently in JOSM.
