Hi, OSM Hams.
Looking to make an interesting long distance contact? VA3IF is on the
air. VA3IF is a special station ID for amateur operators from Guelph
Ontario. They are operating from McCrae House, the birthplace of
Canadian war poet, physician, and soldier, Dr. Lt. Col. John McCrae.
McCrae was the author of In Flanders Fields, a poem he wrote during
medical service in World War I.
VA3IF has school groups visiting and is particularly interested in
long distance contacts for the school children to enjoy. You might
find VA3IF on ARLP 2260, or on 20 meters, though they do tend to move
around a bit looking for contacts.
