Frans,

    you are asking a huge lot of questions and it is sometimes hard to 
understand what your problem is.

In this case, it would be easier to help you if you told us

* how did you import the data to your database
* what file did you use for that import

My suspicion is that the file might simply not have the nodes that make 
out the full EEZ. If this is a Geofabrik file then I would like to know 
because then I might have to fix that.
