... and the only reason I bothered to preserve that is to reduce the
number of new nodes in the database. Frankly, it would have been
easier just to throw away all the "work" of the nodecision user
because it was complete crap. It was a really REALLY low-quality
import.

It doesn't matter what WE believe, because WE are not seeking to take
over the copyright. The only thing that matters here is what the OSMF
believes, which may or may not have anything to do with what the law
says. We editors (who are not lawyers, and do not read legal-talk)
need to know how much of our work is going to be discarded in a few
months.
