right. what i'm talking about is an OSM-style infrastructure to support 
active
OSM mappers by providing a place for experiments and layers that can be 
mashed
up with OSM.

what i'm doing now is soliciting thoughts/discussion of the concept, since
an implementation is still a little ways out.
