Having once been a sysadmin, I can attest that (a) sysadmins tend to be night people, not morning people; and, when we do get to sleep, we sometimes get phone calls from users, waking us up.  The latter is one of the reasons that sysadmins sometimes refer to users as "lusers", and fantasize about keeping a LART (Luser Attitude Readjustment Tool, better known as a club) hidden behind the desk.
