Yes, some of us from the South African community have been involved.
The announcement from afrispatial.co.za is badly timed and wasn't
expected, we have our own announcement lined up.  A formal agreement
is in the final stages.

We haven't yet fully considered exactly what bits of the data we'll
use. We'll consider when ripe. A blanket import is out of the
question.
