This shows why that is a bad idea.  I've also seen some mappers draw
untagged ways in the shape of arrows in the direction that a highway
continues.  It's impossible to tell whether these untagged nodes/ways
are there for a useful purpose or are simply garbage.

I usually place a fixme node at the end of the stub with, for example,
"fixme=way continues NE".
