I was going to say pubs for the same reason, they have long been used as
a means of navigation and giving directions as they are easily seen
landmarks and they are in most localities.

One of my areas of interest is footpaths. Effective pedestrian
navigation is one area where OSM is way ahead of other online maps.

I am gradually filling in POIs locally, it all takes time, but I am
getting there. I did the pubs first, followed by the takeaways, but
everyone will start with what is important to them, adding rules will
deter contributors.
