Why do you consider noexit=* , only relevant for cars ?

I personally use it only at real dead ends for everyone.

This can be very handy if you do not want to follow a path through the
woods hoping that it is only partly mapped.

e.g. This tag is mostly useful to inform surveyors. Software should not
need it.
