Well I would argue that per CC-BY-SA the proposed wording is not correct 
anyway, and the only correct wording would involve listing each person 
that had contributed data to the currently visible part of the map ;-) 
Clearly that would be insane however...

Well the hardest thing, as always on the frontpage, is finding space for 
it. Actually adding it is easy by comparison.
