Hi List,

I spotted this on blogs.openstreetmap.org today and though it was worth a
share on this mailing list. The diary post below covers one users
reflection on a recent competition [1] run by Telenav / Scout in the US.
Users were encourage to edit the map to earn points, with the highest
scoring user receiving a prize. The exact algorithm for how edits were
converted into points was keep secret.

As always, some positives (encouraged more mapping) and some negatives
(possible cheating of the system). Nevertheless Telenav / Scout have a new
competition - check it our at:

Regards,
Rob
