[OSM-talk] How best to view geometry history for a way?

I still haven't updated the old overpass-api.de version, the new attic 
version is still at:

http://nrenner.github.io/achavi/

There are two main limitations though:
1. achavi has no interface to query single objects
2. Overpass attic data only goes back until license change in September 2012

But you can show the changes of the whole Changeset for version 3:
http://nrenner.github.io/achavi/?changeset=23259042

As an alternative, you could zoom to the way:
http://nrenner.github.io/achavi/?zoom=15&lat=32.38686&lon=-94.07706
and manually enter a date range for the version 3 changeset, e.g.
2014-06-28 23:00 - 2014-06-28 23:59, and press "load"

With the attic "date" query you can also get the way geometry at a 
specific point in time:
