If this is what we are after I'd suggest to use a different tag like
preferred_contact_medium:twitter=yes
preferred_contact_medium:email=yes
but in my opinion this goes generally too far in detail, so I'd refrain
from tagging this property.
Please note that currently the definition for contact:-prefixed tags is
exactly the same as for the tag without the prefix. If you want to express
something different, please "invent" a new tag, because you cannot (or
rarely / hardly) redefine tags that are in use.
