[OSM-talk] OSM Contributors Outlook - The Pulse of OpenStreetMap Contributors

I published a Diary where I analyse the OSM Contributions, trying to have a different perspective on the data.  I briefly show the results of a Cohort analysis of the OSM contributors. These analysis are often used to compare the progression of various groups from day 1 of a particular event and analyse their behavior for a certain period. They help reveal trends in the data.  For OSM, this let observe the big peak of new entries which is followed by massive departs the next month. In fact, a majority of contributors do not participate more then one day. 
I also review the monthly statistics of Contributors and Contributions with contributors Profiles and show the heterogeneity between the vast majority of contributors that contribute minimally and at the other extent of the distribution, the minority that contribute massively to OSM.
