while I agree that clay’s comment could have been seen as inappropriate (depending how you understand it, to me it meant that even if the French have a law, it will hardly be applicable in an international context), I was actually serious: if you want to fight gender inequality with quotas, it is clear that you have to apply them also the other way round.
