[OSM-talk] Maps in Wikipedia & sister projects

As you can imagine, serving maps in Wikipedia articles is a massive
undertaking, both interms of volume and the complexity and variety of
the use-cases.Those maps use OSM data.

Mateus Santos, a software engineer with the Wikimedia Tech Team gave a
talk yesterday, "Understanding Wikimedia Maps and its challenges" on
how maps work in Wikipedia, and in other MediaWiki projects.
