Dear Ebrahim,

I appreciate your interest, unfortunately they are not mutual. And here is
some points I hope you will understand,

> Recently OSM carto tiles has been blocked in Iran by certain ISPs

> because of the Gulf naming issue.
This is not OSM's problem, contact the ISPs in your country and discuss
this matter with them. We should not change any name tag around the map
just because this name is not the one that particular government likes or
wants, see Taiwan, Crimean Peninsula, Israel and many other examples. The
solution is following the on ground rule.

> Just to be clear, I'm (personally) NOT against A/B solution.

Then accept it.

> I defended the `no name` solution just to avoid editwars.

Then someone will add it again and "edit war" will start all over again. If
you want to avoid an "edit war" then you must see what other solutions
that worked successfully in a similar situation, which is the Caspian sea (
https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/3987743#:~:text=%2D2149697-,name),
it has 5 languages and we don't see any Iranian make any edit war after
that solution was applied.

> If possible, can you set up a poll in your telegram group to vote on

> different options
This is ridiculous. Since when did naming seas and gulfs around the map
become a telegram group voting thing based on opinions? This is nonsense.
Naming such features should be done according to the OSM guidelines which
goes totally against your point of view, If you disagree with the OSM
guidelines and you think that you have a valid point, discuss it here.

I hope you understand what the fellow mappers have said to you previously
and appreciate their time.

Regards.
