[OSM-talk] call for volunteers to serve on special committee to examine takeover protection

Greetings to all. The OSM Foundation board of directors wishes to 
convene a special committee to examine hostile takeover protection. Any 
community members with expertise in or knowledge of preventing hostile 
takeovers of organizations are invited to reply to board at osmfoundation.org.

A resolution mandating examination of the issue of paid ballots, a 
potential threat vector for hostile takeover, was approved at the last 
annual general meeting and is a priority for the Foundation and its 
board of directors.[1]  Furthermore, takeover protection ranked as the 
second-highest priority in the 2021 community survey.[2] In the 
intervening months, after examining takeover protection, the board 
concluded that it needs help in analyzing potential lines of attack and 
proposing remedies for vulnerabilities, hence this appeal for volunteers 
to form a special committee.[3]  If you think you can help with this, 
please step forward!
