[OSM-talk] Voting for adding the Translate extension to the OSM Wiki now open

Then I got confused by 
"When all of the old translation pages have been converted, deleted"
I understood that moving to subpage is temporary and pages will be deleted.

If not, what "deleted" is referring to?

But if this pages are staying then we will have duplicates, right?
Not sure is it preferable.
