[OSM-talk] Was the deletion of Null Island reasonable?

"Null Island" AKA "Soul Boy" AKA "Station 1301" refer to a real-world
object, that presently does not turn up in the OSM search "Null Island".
It's missing in OSM in that sense.
It is not an Island but a research buoy tethered by a cable of 5km length
to the sea bottom.
"Soul Buoy" shows up in OSM search.

I agree it is not an island, but a location, (even though most likely it
does not have a fixed position)

I don't care if the buoy has an alternative name "Null Island" or if we use
a  place <https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:place>=locality node
with the name "Null Island" and the same coordinates, but "Null Island
should show up in an OSM search.
