[OSM-talk] RFC - Add Translate extension to Wiki

This is notice that a request for comment on the proposal to add the
Translate extension to the OSM Wiki
<https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Add_Translate_extension_to_Wiki>
is open.

The Translate extension provides a translation user interface,
semi-automatic translation, translation progress, and other features that
significantly improve the process of translating pages over the current
translation system.

Adding it will be a significant change on the Wiki and therefore requires
broad community support to add it.

Tigerfell, a wiki administrator, has asked
<https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Wiki&diff=2295428&oldid=2295174>
for this proposal to go through the normal Proposal process
<https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposal_process> before he will
request it to system administrators to be added, as-according to standard
procedure.

Please leave your questions and comments on the Discussion page
<Talk:Proposed features/Add Translate extension to Wiki> of the proposal.

When all questions and comments have been resolved after a period of at
least 2 weeks, the proposal will then be voted-on by the community.
