Here we go again...
You can look here https://osmdata.openstreetmap.de/internal/coastline/
at all the changes between the "last good version" from 2022-08-01 and
today. There were some large changes in between, especially one enormous
change in northern Russia. Looks like a large river delta moved from
being "sea" to being "internal water". That's why there are no changes
in the downloads on
https://osmdata.openstreetmap.de/data/coastlines.html . The system will
not allow large changes without somebody looking at them and making sure
they are legit. Somebody needs to look at the details there and either
revert the edit or point me to a discussion and a legit reason why there
was this large change and I'll let it though.
I have pointed out as I did many times before, that I'd be happy if
somebody else who has more time and feels more reponsible for this will
take over this duty.
