WORKSHOP MPCS 2025: CHAMADA PARA MOSTRA DE PROJETOS DE MAPEAMENTO

O III Workshop Mapeamento Participativo e Cartografia Social - MPCS 
2025, em sua terceira edição e a ser realizado 100% online, entre 27 e 
29 de agosto de 2025, visa reunir pesquisadores de países lusófonos(*), 
que adotam as metodologias de mapeamento participativo ou colaborativo e 
o público interessado.

O evento é uma iniciativa do Instituto Virtual para o Desenvolvimento 
Sustentável - IVIDES.org® e do Laboratório de Cartografia - 
GeoCart-UFRJ. Agradecemos aos parceiros, Laboratório Integrado de 
Geografia Física Aplicada - LiGA-UFRRJ, Laboratório de Geotecnologias - 
Lageot-UFF Campos, Associação de Geógrafos Brasileiros - AGB (Seção 
Campinas/SP) e Programa de Pós-graduação em Geografia - PPGG-UFRJ; e 
pelo patrocínio da FAPERJ e da empresa IVIDES DATA.

Está sendo organizada uma Mostra de projetos de mapeamento, para 
apresentação daqueles completos ou já com resultados. Serão considerados 
os projetos desenvolvidos com OpenStreetMap, assim como casos de 
cartografia social. Para participar, basta preencher o formulário de 
inscrição, até 20 de maio de 2025, informando os dados básicos da 
submissão. _As submissões só podem ser realizadas por residentes de 
países lusófonos_(*):

A equipe entrará em contato depois para informar sobre o aceite e 
alinhar os detalhes. Serão emitidos certificados de participação como 
palestrante.  O formulário necessita que autorize o armazenamento de 
cookies para funcionar a contento.

MPCS 2025 WORKSHOP: OPEN CALL FOR COLABORATIVE MAPPING PROJECTS

The III Participatory Mapping and Social Cartography Workshop - 
MPCS'2025, in its third edition and broadcast online, from August 27 to 
29, 2025, aims to bring together researchers from lusophone 
(Portuguese-speaking countries*) who adopt participatory or 
collaborative mapping methodologies, as well as the general public.

The event is an initiative of the Virtual Institute for the Sustainable 
Development - IVIDES.org® and the Laboratory of Cartography - 
GeoCart-UFRJ. We would like to thank our partners, Integrated Laboratory 
of Applied Physical Geography - LiGA-UFRRJ, Laboratory 
of Geotechnologies - Lageot-UFF Campos, Association of Brazilian 
Geographers - AGB (Campinas/SP Section) and Postgraduate Program in 
Geography of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - PPGG-UFRJ; and 
the sponsorship of FAPERJ and the company IVIDES DATA.

An Exhibition of mapping projects is being organized, for the online 
presentation of complete (or with results) projects. The projects that 
were developed with OpenStreetMap will be considered, as well as cases 
of application of social cartography. To take part, all you have to do 
is fill in the registration form by May 20, 2025, giving the basic 
details of your submission. _Applications can only be submitted by 
residents of lusophone countries_:

The team will contact you afterwards to inform about the acceptance and 
the details. Certificates will be issued for participation as a speaker.
