It is for the wider audience of anyone who wants to develop or operate a
tile server based on osm data.
I suspect it will be predominantly software development of the tile
serving and rendering stack (excluding core mapnik issues which are best
discussed on the mapnik lists), although discussing and exchanging tips
on necessary hardware resource requirements of a tile server setup also
sounds like an appropriate topic as well.
Performance issues or tuning tips might be another topic.
Anything really that helps ensure high quality, reliable tile serving
stacks are available to anyone who wants to set up their own server
based on OSM data.
We'll have to see how this list best suits people, but it is definitely
not only for [a-c].tile.osm.org.
