Indeed:

24642696 -k and old default.style
19844552 -k and new default.style
19305296 -k and openstretmap-carto.style
19034824 no -k and old default.style

I tried to run the new default.style without -k but it complained about
phstore flags not being available - but maybe that's a glitch that has
been fixed meanwhile, my osm2pgsql is half a year old or so. Surely we
wouldn't want to ship with a default.style that requires -k.
