[This wiki page](https://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/A_Guide_to_CVE-2018-1058:_Protect_Your_Search_Path#Next_Steps:_How_Can_I_Protect_My_Databases.3F) outlines a number of ways to protect a PostgreSQL installation from CVE-2018-1058.

Did you also evaluate, if those recommendations are safe to apply, or whether they would interfere with osm2pgsql. Would you also recommend to apply those recommendations?
