So I'm reading some other threads and it appears this is quite a common error with systems that have a "ICU" version of 60 or higher. I read one possible solution is to compile the software forcing to use and older version of ICU. Has this software been updated to use ICU 60+ (ICU 61 is the current version, Ubuntu 18.04 has ICU 60.2).

Also, if this is so, and the software does need to be updated - is there a way to force compilation using an older version of Unicode?
