I have downloaded the latest 64-bit windows build from appveyor (osm2pgsql_Release_x64.zip)
I am running on a fully patched 64 bit windows system(windows 10) with 6GB of memory and a Core I7 CPU.
When I try to import a .BZ2 file from OSM osm2pgsql silently fails but places this entry in the windows event log:
Faulting application name: osm2pgsql.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5c3fb2d5

Is this a known issue? Workarounds? Better off using the 'nix version?
Thanks
