Which tool are you talking about ?

In my understanding, renderd prepare metatiles for mod_tiles. Renderd
prepares the metatiles using mapnik, and mod_tile get the data from the
metatiles.

I am searching for a cli-tool which is going to gather 64png in a
z/x/y.png directory into a single meta-tiles, and place the generated
meta-tiles into the directory. Does anyone has already done this ?

It's **not** a question of live and death, I can cope with other
methods, but I am curious about the eventually available tools for
achieving this task.

Kind Regards,
