Many thanks, @SuperQ! Have you had a chance to test it yourself already?

I don't use Prometheus, yet. But I would be happy to test it after you feel confident. Can you please provide me with instructions how I can responsibly test it?

It would be also great to get some feedback from @tomhughes and/or @pnorman to ensure it fits to the requirements of how  Prometheus is being used on the OSM servers.
