[Tile-serving] [osm2pgsql-dev/osm2pgsql] flex config file that drives (or will drive) official OSM map style? (Discussion #2270)

I am looking for a very generic flex style that can be used to catch a lot of different kinds of geographical questions and I think a good starting point would be just what drives the website style

I believe I saw somewhere in another OSM repo that there was a long-ongoing discussion over using flex style in the pipeline for creating the official OSM website basemap style. I can't remember where I found it.
