[Tile-serving] [osm2pgsql-dev/osm2pgsql] Date type (Discussion #2299)

Is there an example of how to use a date type in Themepark? Or is that just asking for trouble? Does the base OSM data support a date type that gets parsed into a Lua `date`/`time`?
