Yes, bearing in mind, of course, that filling up /dev/shm can be a Bad Thing
if you still want memory to run any processes...
/etc/default/tmpfs has the setting for the largest size shmfs can use -
it's worth making sure that this is smaller than the amount of swap on
the box (and/or increase swap). shmfs will swap out if needed.
IIRC the default size for shmfs is something like half your physical
memory. That doesn't count for much if the box is already swapping.
