[Tilesathome] MySQL and iowait

Earlier today, t at h ran like a dream.  Frederik disabled the 
"replace" queries for zoom level 13-17, apparently starting at 
14:00 BST.

But since 21:00 BST they are back again, 77 "replace" queries per 
second are now being processed, the CPU spends 80% of its time in 
iowait, and the system is as unresponsive and useless as 
yesterday.

What happened? Was Frederik's change rolled back?  Why?
